Third Batch of Kids Received First Communion

Published by Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM in News Update · 2/1/2015 08:34:05

The First Communion of the third batch of school children was held last December 13, 2014 at Sta. Teresita Parish.  They came from the different schools within the parish. This batch was organized to accommodate children from private schools and to give chance to kids from the two big elementary schools of the parish namely, West Rembo Elementary School and Fort Bonifacio Elementary School who were not able to make it with the first and the second batches.  There were ninety five (95) candidates, forty (40) girls and fifty five (55) boys. The private schools that sent their candidates for first communion were Fortunato Tulliao Calweng  School (FTC), Little Treasure Academy (LTA), Vicente School of West Rembo and Bloomfield Academy.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM.  He was assisted by Fr. Angelo Pusikit in distributing Holy Communion. The parish catechists joined efforts in preparing the kids for four weekends.  They had made sure that all the kids will go to Confession first before receiving their first Holy Communion. The parents were likewise given a seminar to better understand what their children are undertaking.  They came also with their children for the final rehearsal of the Liturgy.  With the cooperation of the parents the celebration was indeed a very successful one.
