The Installation of the new Altar Servers and the Renewal of the old ones were held on September 28, 2014 during the 6:30 PM mass presided by Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM. It was the third day of the novena mass in preparation for the Feast of St.Therese of the Child Jesus.  The Altar Servers, especially the new candidates were all excited for this great day because they will be vested formally with the cassock and the surplice. They came to the church with their parents the previous night for the rehearsal.

Wearing their uniforms (black pants and white shirt) the twenty one (21) new altar servers who were installed were the first ones to enter during the entrance procession. Their parents marched with them carrying their cassocks and surplices. Then the twenty two (22) older ones who were already in their cassocks were also accompanied by their parents who carried their surplices. They were given reserved seats in the middle of the church.

The Rites of the Installation and the Renewal were done after the homily.  They were first presented to Fr. Richard by the Coordinator, Bro John Paul Cestina. Then Fr. Richard asked them three questions that they answered together and after that he officially accepted them to the Ministry of Altar Servers. Their parents came in front to vest them after they were blessed by Fr. Richard.  A mission cross was then given to each one to remind them of their tasks.

The Renewal of the older ones followed.  They came forward and Bro. Joshua Pacson, the oldest Altar Server led the promise of commitment in front of Fr. Richard. The parents of the juniors then came forward to vest them with the new surplice. All of them were also given mission cross by Fr. Richard.  The congregation applauded them after the ceremony. A potluck dinner was held at the third floor after the mass.
